1. Do you like horror movies? Do they scare you?

2. Heels or flats? (or other)

3. Brag of the day-Newsweek ranks the 2 high schools in my district in the top 5 percent of American high schoolsLaughing

Well, the statement was about where "anyone" went to school .. not where the posters here went to school.

Again, it was MY brag of the day. Question #3. I think it was Geschichtgal who commented on it.

"I think spring is the one contending that it matters where people went to high school ." ------------- I am not sure what any of them is contending, lol.

It is funny, you just lol at a situation that was similar to your own.  As I said before, I think looking past a single year (or even a few) is important in looking at a school, especially if one is going to brag about test scores or specifics that Newsweeks chooses.   As I said before, I think maintaining the quality of education over a period of time is something to look for in a schol.

I am sure that is why your kids have moved schools a few times. I am QUITE pleased with the education my kids are getting. Of course it is not perfect, as is NO school. Did your children's school make the list in the last few years?

<<WHAT??? Do you have records of schools from 24 + years ago? It is all about the kids now. That is my main concern.>>

Psssst.  You can stop posting.  Rollmops ran away without addressing my and Spring's comments.  Your job is done. Wink

lol. Maybe Momine is done posting today as it makes no sense to mention a high school that has high grades now if that person does not go there now.

<<<Yes, I AM pleased. I think anyone who has a child in school SHOULD be pleased if there school makes a list like that. I don't know what it ranked when I went there 24 + years ago. Not sure how you can compare when your dh went there 30+ years ago though either. >>

Sure, pleased that they made a list but the list doesn't tell a complete story of a school, not even close.

Where did I say it did?>>

Um, I said that,  nothing in my comments stated (or implied) that I was quoting comments, my comments were in response.  Aka, a discussion....a debate.

Which is kinda funny since you not only live in the same country, you live in the exact same location (as you have told us many times) and don't know because Newsweek hasn't told you.  Perhaps you might want to retract your lol.  ;)

WHAT??? Do you have records of schools from 24 + years ago? It is all about the kids now. That is my main concern.

so where one goes to school doesn't matter at all to you ... so why post the list and brag that your kids' school is on it? If it doesn't matter?

It was a BRAG of the day. I wasn't bragging about when "I" went to school. It is ALL about the kids NOW, not US or our spouses many years ago.
