1. Do you like horror movies? Do they scare you?  I used to when I was younger.  I prefer a suspensful movie over a blood gore movie--so it depends on what you are talking about.

2. Heels or flats? (or other)  I usually wear clogs, so neither.

3. Brag of the day--My dd made a movie for her high school band that was shown at the band banquet that was cool.  She took all video & pictures.  She had the band teacher (and some students) talk about all the seniors and had pictures of all the seniors, put it together with music.  This weekend she made copies for all the seniors, they get one as a gift (it's not from her it's from the band) and they will sell a copy to anyone else who wants one.  At the banquet she got 2 awards--she did not get an award for doing this whole movie project, I think she should have got a pin or something.  Anyway, she got awards of the type that the other band students voted on and she got Best spirit of the Band and Hottest Girl in the band.  LOL

Editing to add a picture--I only have a group picture on this computer & it was from last fall.  Guess which one is my dd?  If you know me on facebook you might have seen her.

1. Do you like horror movies? Do they scare you?

I love suspense thrillers like Hitchcock, I don't like slasher films.

2. Heels or flats? (or other)

Depends - today was bare feet in the beach sand ~ divine!

3. Brag of the day

DD18 has an almost FT summer job working from 1 to 8 M-F - She's thrilled, she gets to sleep in and go out late with her friends with weekends free to work catering gigs if she wants to pick up extra money.

1. Do you like horror movies? Do they scare you? -- I love scary movies.  They don't scare me.  I like the suspensful supernatural ones better than the gory/bloody, but I pretty much like them all.  The Kids and I watched Sinister and The Cabin in The Woods this weekend.  Dh was out of town - he doesn't like horror movies very much.

2. Heels or flats? (or other) -- heels. Almost always heels.

3. Brag of the day -- The Girl was voted "Girl Most Likely to be Told to Quit Talking" at the band banquet last night. Undecided

Again, I think what they meant was the top 5% in the country, not that list. I would say that is a big deal though, wouldnt you?

The methodology is suspect, and it requires administrators to participate in the pull poll to provide information. My son's school is also high on this "list". Other than the music, art and sports programs, it is not a very good high school, but the fact that it works so much in the arts separates it a bit from the rest, I guess.

But if it makes you feel good...Go for it. If this is the top 5%, I would hate to see the rest of the 95%, it doesn't bode well for the future of public education.

I think public schools can be very good and proud of mine. We have a long list of successful people that graduated from there.

Written communication skills were not on the high school curriculum?

Sure, it's great, if it makes you happy.
