Psssst.  You can stop posting.  Rollmops ran away without addressing my and Spring's comments.  Your job is done. Wink

<<Well, why not?  Unless you are saying that the school has gone down or up hill in that period of time?  I would think that maintaining (or getting better) a quality education over a span of time is something one would look for in a school for their children.

Of course they would IF they even lived in the same COUNTRY lol>>

Which is kinda funny since you not only live in the same country, you live in the exact same location (as you have told us many times) and don't know because Newsweek hasn't told you.  Perhaps you might want to retract your lol.  ;)

Yea, good point.  The bragging about high school started with spring.

<<So are you are saying that your school has gotten better since you were there?

Since I didn't see a report like the one I saw yesterday 24 years ago, I wouldn't know that. >>

The only way you would know if it has gotten better in those specifics is if Newsweek tells you so?

I think spring is the one contending that it matters where people went to high school ... since she's the one bragging about the list.

No, it is just a coincedence that my kids go to the same school I went to.

<<Yes, I AM pleased. I think anyone who has a child in school SHOULD be pleased if there school makes a list like that. I don't know what it ranked when I went there 24 + years ago. Not sure how you can compare when your dh went there 30+ years ago though either. >>

Sure, pleased that they made a list but the list doesn't tell a complete story of a school, not even close.

Where did I say it did?

<<No, I don't care where anyone went. I DO care about where my kids go though and I wouldn't be comparing schools NOW to THEN. >>

I would, if I was looking at the test grades and specifis the list utilizes to rank the schools, I would want to make sure that they either maintained or steadly rose and didn't roller coaster or anything.   Comparing schools to now or then, I don't care specifically where anyone goes to high school other than my own family.
