What was the last thing you said thank you for/who was the last person you thanked?

Who was the last person that said thank you to you?

What are you making for Thanksgiving?

Bonus:  Do you shop on Black Friday?  Any favorite stops?

"DH is a coffee snob and insists that the beans must be ground immediately before brewing. Yeah, I know." ------ We do not grind our own coffee, but we do buy it from a good grinder, so that it is fresh and our own blend that we like. But it has to be brewed fresh. Ground coffee that sits overnight in a filter loses a lot of aroma.

Coffee loses it's aroma if it sits in a the basket overnight.. That's your experience? Sounds like cheap coffee to me.

That sounds delish.  And we always have a pie here too.

Yah, that one was news to me too.  And I'm betting to Keurig, all of its many, many customers over the years, all hotel chains, cruise ship lines...  Wink

Nah, I think it's pretty much how chemistry works.

You know that fresh smell when you open a bag of freshly roast coffee beans? That would be flavor leaving the coffee. And as soon as you grind, it's going to start oxidizing faster, because there is more surface area to oxidize. This is not rocket science. The question for me is whether the average person can tell the difference just eight hours or so later. I would guess not, in a blind taste test. I know I can tell the difference 36 hours later.

Kcups, coffess in packets in hotels, etc aren't OPEN.  They are sealed, so they're not (potentially) losing their aroma.  Coffee grounds sitting open, overnight, in a basket (potentially) could.
