my middle school kids don't see "centers" anymore either although my middle DD is placed in smaller group for some lessons and testing.

I've concluded that "differences are beautiful" only applies when there's no real difference. Like, a strawberry sundae vs a turtle sundae? Beautiful. Sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, intelligence? It's something we don't talk about.
