Today's beautiful early morning walk by Simmons Pond got me thinking of Thoreau's Walden. It won't happen again. On to today's fluff:

  •   1. Walk in the woods or a drive in the country?

  2. Ocean or lake front living?

  3. Favorite American author, any era, any genre?

  4. Favorite reality TV show, candid, competitive or how-to?

Oh, and the fact that Padma was married to Salman is both baffling and kinda cool (as well as in keeping with today's theme).

"Padma is my least favorite part of the show." ------------ Really? I thought it was so refreshing that she is fairly quiet, and she is very pretty.

I don't think she's overly pretty.  And she has a very snobby air to her.  But people on the show and fans of the show almost worship her ... ugh.   I like the first season better - when Katie Lee Joel was the host.

  •  1. Walk in the woods or a drive in the country? Definitely a walk in the woods.

  2. Ocean or lake front living?  I like to visit the ocean, but I think I would prefer living on a lake.

  3. Favorite American author, any era, any genre?  Probably Ann Patchett or Barbara Kingsolver.

  4. Favorite reality TV show, candid, competitive or how-to? Hmm, I used to really like watching House Hunters.  I don't have cable any more, so can't watch it regularly, but that's what I watch when I'm in a hotel with cable.

Oh, and recently I was watching the one where one person tries to fix up a house for a couple, and the other person tries to find them a new one and at the end they have to chose one. Love it or leave it?

"I don't think she's overly pretty. And she has a very snobby air to her." -------- Funny how perceptions are so different. I like looks like hers, and she didn't come across as snobby, at least not today. The contestants had to run a restaurant for the day, and it was fun for me to watch, since I used to do that kind of work.

Love it or LIst it.  Some of my best "Dear HGTV Home Buyer/Owner" rants on Facebook are because of Love it or List it :)

Oh, I must have misunderstood the question.  I defined "American author" as meaning, "authors who aren't citizens of foreign countries."
