What weird or strange situation or event separates yours from somebody else's

Do you believe in ghosts

If Spring is late does that mean Summer will be too

Lol molly, that brings back memories of carnivals we had as kids, We prepared for them months ahead and we had street signs that started at the top of the street and we had big banners that went down on our drivway too, We'd give away prizes that were donated from local stores and what we collected went to local charities.  It was a lot of fun, the pre-pink flamingo era, Lol.

Oh this wasn't a prize at the yard sale. You have to believe that people who have passed do things to get your attention. That was this kind of story.

I'm sorry my question was too complex for you.  That's weird.

Ok, I will try:

Since I was born, my parents were very good friends with one of our neighbors, kind of like catty cornered, not right across the street. The husband had passed away almost 10 years from when this happened and the wife was still alive but in a nursing home. Their children were having a yard sale to clear out the home since their mom was not going to be coming home (she was ill and did pass away a few months later). My dad had passed away 6 months before this happened too. I noticed the day before as I was looking out the window a sign on an AC that they were selling. I couldn't really read it but I saw that it was a bright yellow sign. It just caught my eye besides all the other things out there.

The day I saw the sign, we had gone to our local carnival and bought a town card (discount card) which entered us into a contest to win a cruise. It was a Sunday and they were to pull the winner that night but we did not stay. They said they would call the winner if they were not there.

Monday at work I kept having a feeling that I needed to call my answering machine to see if we won. Low and behold we had won.  I called the travel agent that was handling the prize and she told me to stop by on my lunch hour (right around the corner from my house).

I went there and got all the info and went home for the rest of my lunch hour. I pull in my driveway and there on my sidewalk to walk into the door was that yellow sign. It blew all the way down the block and exactly right by my front door.

To this day, I still have that sign as I feel it was my dad greeting me when I got home to tell me that he had a hand in winning the cruise as we needed a break so badly with potty training one kid and getting no sleep. I was just so excited that I could sleep for 9 days lololol.

I believe in "signs" as I feel my dad sent me 2 of them on our last vacation too and has done other things to let us know he is around. THIS was the biggest "sign" though to me Laughing

She is? You're not a devout Catholic?  I'm confused, too, then.  I thought that you were.

"I'm sorry my question was too complex for you. That's weird." ------ Not complicated exactly. It made no sense, the way it was written. Most posters were not sure what you were trying to ask. Instead of getting rude, the nice thing would be to rephrase it.

Why can't he just say hello, or write you a note?

Bord, don't sweat it. I think it was an attempt to be rude.
