1.  What's the first news or event oI historical significance that you have a memory of?  Reagan getting shot.

2.  Describe the first item of clothing you remember picking out and buying for yourself. I started babysitting quite a bit when I was 12 & did buy some clothes in those years, but don't remember any.

3.  Do you remember your first post on I-Village/ParentSoup/ParentsPlace?  Not the specific post, but my first board was an expecting club for 1999 on Parent Soup.

4.  Which former poster here do you miss the most?  Maxchandler was interesting.  Also Ikat and some other very nice ladies that moved on.

5.  Bonus:  Do you have an all-time favorite post that you still laugh about?  What was it? No, all time favorite.

1.  What's the first news or event oI historical significance that you have a memory of?

Watergate. I have vague memories of my parents and grandparents arguing about whether or not Nixon was a crook.

2.  Describe the first item of clothing you remember picking out and buying for yourself.

Sheesh! It was probably something like pin-stripe jeans. Oh yeah, the height of fashion. XD

3.  Do you remember your first post on I-Village/ParentSoup/ParentsPlace?  What was it about?

Introducing myself to my EC board, November 2003 babies.

4.  Which former poster here do you miss the most?

I am in touch with just about everyone from here whose posts I enjoyed, and from my other debate board home, BF/FF.  I miss a couple posters from over there, lve2read and tanjanika.

5.  Bonus:  Do you have an all-time favorite post that you still laugh about?  What was it?

There have been some real doozies here, but I don't have an all-time favorite.

1. Eisenhower's funeral. It seemed to go on for days, and I couldn't understand who the hell was in the box if Eisenhower was in heaven, as my mother told me!

2. A pair of flipflops when I was in junior high.

3. At ParentsPlace, I posted about--what else?--my pregnancy.

4. A woman named Becky from the Christian board. She always had something gracious to say.

5. Can't think of anything specific, but I have laughed at posts here many times!

1.  What's the first news or event oI historical significance that you have a memory of?

A couple of things I can remember pretty fuzzily:  The 1960 presidential election; John Glenn orbiting the earth, the Cuban Missile Crisis.  The first one I remember clearly was JFKs assassination and the coverage, including when Oswald was shot, everything up to the funeral.

2.  Describe the first item of clothing you remember picking out and buying for yourself.

I babysat all the summer when I turned 12, and then took my savings ($120) at the end of the summer and bought myself some school clothes.  The item I remember most vividly was a pair of baby blue corduroy slacks.

3.  Do you remember your first post on I-Village/ParentSoup/ParentsPlace?  What was it about?

It was in a discussion about whether a baby could be spoiled by being held and cuddled too much.  I said no.

4.  Which former poster here do you miss the most?

There are two -- Suzymom, whom I considered a friend; and Ikatarama in her various incarnations because she was made of pure awesome.

5.  Bonus:  Do you have an all-time favorite post that you still laugh about?  What was it?

Does anybody else remember that random post from the woman who got stuck in her dress? It was really bizarre.  The other one that won't go away was the insistent one about anyone who had painted her front door yellow was probably insane.  My next house is going to have a yellow door.

I was wondering about SabinaMarianne the other day ...

1.  What's the first news or event oI historical significance that you have a memory of? We were in the country and the neighbors (he was a math professor) invited us over to watch the moon landing on TV (we did not have a TV).

2.  Describe the first item of clothing you remember picking out and buying for yourself. Sewing class at school, 5th grade or so. We had to sew a tunic, and the teacher had picked out a hideous yellow fabric with purple flowers. I made my mom buy me a blue and white stripes fabric instead. Didn't help much though. The tunic was horrible all the same.

3.  Do you remember your first post on I-Village/ParentSoup/ParentsPlace?  What was it about? Yes! Max Chandler took my cherry, so to speak, and the discussion was about how she kept her 4 or 5yo in a stroller. I was horrified.

4.  Which former poster here do you miss the most? Oh, there are so many: Milli, Max Chandler, and a bunch of others whose handles I don't recall. One was a linguistics professor.

5.  Bonus:  Do you have an all-time favorite post that you still laugh about?  What was it? The time home parties to sell fake purses were defended on the grounds that cops' wives went to them. The idea being that if cops' wives went to them, they couldn't be illegal, or not VERY illegal at least.
