Thanks! I'm enjoying it. We started renting here last August, so this will be our second Thanksgiving in the house. The family all came here for Thanksgiving and it worked out perfectly for all involved, so we're going to have it here again this year. We provide the venue and the side dishes, my grandparents bring the turkey, and my parents bring drinks and dessert.

Yes on hs friends a couple have sent me friend requests who never spoke a word to me then & I wasn't really sure who they were when I first got the request. I ignore those.

For me, it depends on which high school they're from as to if I'll friend them.

My freshman year, we lived overseas and I attended a DoD high school. This school wasn't perfect, butt the military community is one that, for me, tends to be able to move on. We don't have graduating year reunions because it's practically impossible to bring together the folks from just one year, so we have annual "every graduating class" reunions and as such we're just a big community. Whether or not I spoke with someone at high school (at this high school or not), I've yet to meet anyone at these reunions that we didn't totally get along and have a great time. So if someone friends me who is friends with others from that school, I'll usually ask someone else to verify it's not someone masquerading as a former classmate and then friend them.

The school I graduated from? I don't think I've friended more than two or three people from there, and I'm good with that.

Yes I have 2 high schools also & it's the later one that I graduated from that I don't care to friend many people from. Just one that I can think of that are actual friends. There is/was no community or unity feeling for me w/them or from them.

I have to say though that I have met some great people whom I didn't have much of a friendship in h.s. with and now we get together all the time and stay in touch.

I just joined FB this year, mainly to see what it's about for when my kids get more interested in it. I know I'm in the minority here, but I find it pretty dull.
