“Clearly," said Arthur,"you're an idiot- but you're our kind of idiot. Come on.” ― Markus Zusak, The Book Thief
For me, it depends on which high school they're from as to if I'll friend them.
My freshman year, we lived overseas and I attended a DoD high school. This school wasn't perfect, butt the military community is one that, for me, tends to be able to move on. We don't have graduating year reunions because it's practically impossible to bring together the folks from just one year, so we have annual "every graduating class" reunions and as such we're just a big community. Whether or not I spoke with someone at high school (at this high school or not), I've yet to meet anyone at these reunions that we didn't totally get along and have a great time. So if someone friends me who is friends with others from that school, I'll usually ask someone else to verify it's not someone masquerading as a former classmate and then friend them.
The school I graduated from? I don't think I've friended more than two or three people from there, and I'm good with that.

Yep, old enough to remember him-lol!!
NO Farmville-lol!! I don't see the need or the reason to do that or dogville or whatever thing like that.
lol!! I have be-friended about 1/2 of my graduating class-lol!!!
I have to say though that I have met some great people whom I didn't have much of a friendship in h.s. with and now we get together all the time and stay in touch.
i don't know, i don't assume everybody's the same person now as they were then.
