1. Do you keep up with celebrity news (watch it on TV, read it online, read newspaper or magazines)?

2. What are you wearing today?

3. College-did you go? Did you stay home, go away? Did/does/will your children stay home or go away?

Funny to call someone out about where she finds her news. Huffingtonpost isn't a credible site either, YMMV.

I don't really view knowing who Amanda Bynes is as connected to things going on in the world. I don't really know who she is. And frankly, I'm more concerned w/North Korea than Hollywood has-beens. YMMV.

I am surprised more people with kids would not know her:

1. Do you keep up with celebrity news (watch it on TV, read it online, read newspaper or magazines)?  Not purposefully.  But I hear plenty of it, I keep the Today show on in the morning & that show reports celebrities like they are real news.

2. What are you wearing today? pinkish/muavish sweater with white tank top, blue jeans & navy danskos.

3. College-did you go? Did you stay home, go away? Did/does/will your children stay home or go away?  I moved away from home after high school, 50 miles & had my own apt and went to school and worked.  So it's quasi stayed home/went away.

Many of us did not raise our children watching a lot of television.  I think the amount of time my kids spent watching either Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel would be less than a hundred hours total, throughout their childhood.  I didn't know who she was, either.

I had to google who it was as well but then again as I have said before, my kids have never been big into Disney.

"I am surprised more people with kids would not know her"

I know who she is, my kids watched shows & movies she was in. But many people do not view celebrities & what they are doing (including has beens) as actual news or something needed to follow.  It's not a moral failing.

NPR is on at our house in the morning.  That's my first line of finding out what's going on in the world.

True bord, mine didn't spend a ton of time watching tv and really still don't...they do enjoy netflix but we don't really watch a whole lot of network television live.  Live as when it airs, we do watch some shows on the computer or some other device at later dates.

jamblessedthree--Funny to call someone out about where she finds her news. Huffingtonpost isn't a credible site either, YMMV.

In one sentence you think others are calling someone out for where they watch news (Springy asked specifically so why comment that people are talking about specific news places they do and don't watch???)

And in the next sentence you are discrediting a news source yourself.

Why?
