1. Do you keep up with celebrity news (watch it on TV, read it online, read newspaper or magazines)?

2. What are you wearing today?

3. College-did you go? Did you stay home, go away? Did/does/will your children stay home or go away?

When I think of "shunning" I actually think of what happened to Fantine when a bunch of busy bodies who absolutely couldn't wait to get "the dirt" on someonone they disliked for no good reason other than she was you know.. sliglty different than they were... (I suppose she didn't do things the way those women did 'by them')  ganged up on her, spread rumors and got her fired from her job, leading her to a life of poverty, prostitution and Tuberculosis... not so much a random comment on a message board...

but that's just me

Actually it's called pointing out the flaw in one's debate.  Unless you are claiming that she is grading those of us who didn't know Amanda whatever?   But of course not, engage the double standard and bias debating.

The show is over 20 years old, the book was written in the 1800's.   I'm wondering though, why the knowlege of the person you listed in the op is more important for knowledge base than something like Les Miserables which is about 100 times more out there in the world than an actress who seems to be having mental health issues.

I highly doubt you were shunned, that seems overly dramatic even for you.  You saw the movie with Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway?

I'd wager she has- it's hardly fringe festival stuff... I"d love to see Kinky Boots.. i'm a HUGE Harvey Fierstein fan so anything he's involved in even remotely I love to see... we saw him in La Cage 2 years ago and got his autograph.. just a huge huge fan of his work.. was amazing to see him play Za Za in the show he wrote.

That is one I would like to see if I were in NYC, but not one I would make a special trip to NYC to see. If it comes to Chicago I might go to Chicago to see it. I saw the movie with my older son 5-6 years ago. Can't imagine it as a musical. Moderately curious.
