1. Do you keep up with celebrity news (watch it on TV, read it online, read newspaper or magazines)?

2. What are you wearing today?

3. College-did you go? Did you stay home, go away? Did/does/will your children stay home or go away?

No, she's not being "graded," Jambles, anymore than those of us who didn't know who Amanda Whoever is are being "graded." None of us knows everything, all of us at ignorant of things . She's the only one who claimed to be totally au courant with "everything." I just used the example of Lea Mis to refute her claim of being universally well-informed.

So she's being graded here...  That explains a lot.

" Lol... What was the conversation?" -------- Thatcher, Middle East, situation here politically, the role of unions (because of Thatcher) etc.

So he really doesn't know what he wants to major in, in his 2nd year of college? Does he go to a community college and just trying different things each year? I am so dumb but I knew what I was going for in my 2nd year and still to this day do the same type of work. Shrug.</span></span></strong></p>[/quote]\

Then I guess you win the prize.  Oh yeah there is no price for declaring a major early in college.   DD2 and DD3 knew their major going in,  DD1 decided hers after her sophomore year.  End result was the same.

No one said that reading Les Mis "made your works wide." Perhaps I am not making myself clear. You chose to ignore a phenomenon hat that has influenced our culture for more than two decades. Then you claim extensive knowledge of what's going on around you. These two statements do not match up. That is all.

actually she probably read Les Miz much much longer ago than 20 years.. she was speaking of the musical which is now 25 years old..  I remember watching it on the Tony Awards in 1987 and going "oh.. now that is different..."
