Manicured or could you care less what your yard looks like?

What kind of dresser are you - classy, trendy, bold or combination/no one particular style?

Cook in/grill out or go out on a scorching hot day?

I hate uncared for yards, overgrown grass and stuff, blech.  I'm not much of a manicurist but I do like a well cut yard and nicely arranged plants or garden.

I'd probably say classy but I'm a pretty easy dresser too, if it's comfortable I wear it.  I don't like bold prints or colors.

I cook in a lot but I've lost motivation this week thanks to the heat.  We may go out tonight.

Manicured or could you care less what your yard looks like? -- somewhere in between. We keep ours mowed, trimmed and edged. We keep the leaves swept up. we have some landscaping. But I wouldn't call it manicured.

What kind of dresser are you - classy, trendy, bold or combination/no one particular style? --  Mostly tailored stuff - pencil skirts, etc.  So I guess that would be fairly classic - but I like them in bold colors and more modern fabrics/patterns.   I'm definitely not trendy, but not out of date either.

Cook in/grill out or go out on a scorching hot day? -- either, depending on the menu, timing and other factors.  Wouldn't be turning the oven on, though.

1. I like the yard to be user friendly. I keep it up but I have never worried about things like bald patches where the kids okay bad motion in the back yard. I refuse to use chemicals and prefer to think if weeds as "native perrennials" that need constant grooming. Right now I have a dead bush in the front that needs digging out but we've been way too busy. 2. I wear stuff that is comfortable and doesn't make be stand out in the crowd as either slovenly or a sharp dresser. 3. We seldom eat out when we are in town. I deal with the heat. We tend to have simpler meals in summer, anyway.

1.  Medium.  I keep my grass cut and the edges trimmed, but there's lots of violets and wild strawberries in my yard (the back yard is almost completely shaded, so violets have a field day there), and the "back 40" (a weird corner of my far back yard) gets those tiny yellow meadow flowers that I love, and I have no objections to their presence in my yard.  On the other hand, I am in mortal combat against the stupid creeping charlie.  I hate that stuff.  With the fire of a thouands suns.  I don't even mind dandelions as much as I hate the creepy charlie.   And I'm very careful about caring for my perennial flowers; I love my flowers.

2. Classic/casual.  I'm a big fan of Donna Karan.

3. Cook in.  I generally use the stove top with help from the microwave.  If I must use the oven, I bring up the toaster oven from the basement and use it--it doesn't heat up the house as much.  When it's hot enough to avoid using the oven, I'm not venturing foot outside to grill.

I like gardens that are kept, but that are natural-looking. I am not fond of neatly cut grass and twee little bushes. Not sure what "classy" dressing is, but I tend to dress in fairly classic, plain clothes. I am fond of navy and grey, not crazy about loud prints and stuff like that. However, in the last year or two I have developed a taste for colorful accessories, like pink, orange and vivid blues. In summer we often eat out, because of the heat. I also do cooking marathons once in a while, so we have food ready for a few days. Today I made stuffed zucchini, and I made a double portion, so we have another meal without having to cook a second time.

I don't even notice my yard, which is why moving to an apartment was a no-brainer for me.  I had it mowed and trimmed but I never even looked at it, so it was mostly to keep from getting a ticket...no personal satisfaction for me at all.

Kind of a combination...I tend to go with classic but with a splash of bold.

Cook in/grill out or go out on a scorching hot day?

I'm pretty much always inside on hot days.  And we usually eat at home because it's too hot to get in and out of the car.

Like Bord, I'm not a fan of putting chemicals on the lawn. It's mowed and trimmed. My flowerboxes are filled with ivy, evergreen, lillies, and hostas. We live on a city street corner and this spring the city tore out a good-size chunk of our lawn to replace the gas lines along one road to fit up to the new gas lines along the complete tear-out on the other side. Our lawn currently has water pipes stacked on it and massive water mains. Sometimes there is large equipment on my lawn. For about two weeks, a portion of my lawn hosted the porta-potty for the construction guys. I'm so glad we put a privacy fence around the back yard a few years back.

I like neutral clothing, mostly in black.

Cook at home as usual, without the oven. Last year when our toaster died, I bought one of these (Pizza Pizzazz) to replace it. It functions like a toaster oven, but it's large enough to make a pizza on. Best thing for my kitchen in the summer ever.

I don't wear stuff to stand out either but I have gotten compliments on some clothes and shoes that fall under unique I suppose.  I have a pair of espidrilles that have this plaid print, I've had them for years but don't wear them a lot.  When I do I always get a comment or compliment about them, At this point I forget where I bought them, They might have been mail order.
