Wow. What a scary thing to experience. The stewardess on our last flight told us just a few days earlier the plane had dropped 500 feet out of no where and they were serving drinks and snacks at the time.

That is actually one of the more interesting things to do in Ashland, VA.

My dad has a house in one of the Danish islands. At some point in my childhood, I stopped going there for the whole summer, so I needed separate transportation. My father had this doctor friend, who thought he was really cool and who therefore had acquired a pilot's license and a little plane. So I used to fly with him and he was the WORST kind of chicken pilot. He flew the coast line, because he was too scawed to fly over water and he couldn't land for anything. Every, single time, he bounced that machine like bunny when he tried to land. It is actually a wonder that we survived.

Put down chicken wire on the ground where you plant the bulbs; it will discourage the squirrels but the plants can grow through it.

1. If applicable in your area, have you planted your bulbs yet? -- Most of my bulbs I planted the past spring.

1. If applicable in your area, have you planted your bulbs yet?

I planted bulbs several years ago that come back every spring. I have a few things that need to be dug up, so they don't rot in the ground over the winter. But, then I won't plant them until spring.

2. What was the roughest airplane ride you have ever been in?

I haven't had any really rough airplane rides-- at least nothing too memorable. I did ride with my step-FIL in his small 2 seater and that was roughish-- just because it's such a small plane.

3. Do you go apple or pumpkin picking in the fall?

We were going to go apple picking a few weeks ago, but the weather was bad. We'll probably just buy pumpkins at the Farmers' Market.
