2. Favorite Salad Dressing? If I am being good, Fat Free Italian Dressing. Bad, Blue Cheese.

3. Plans for the weekend? youngest child has a spirit night for school, eye exam, regular food shopping and that is all that is planned right now.

Sheesh.  Pick a name already.

1.  Isotoners.

2.There's a new recipe with mustard, apple cider and apricot preserves that I'm currently loving on.

3. Yes.

Sneaks (went to the gym).

Garlic, bunch of parsley or cilantro, lemon juice and olive oil run through the blender. I do not like creamy dressings or ready-made ones from the store.

Our weekends are not usually all that different from weekdays.

Puss, for shredded cabbage, I really like to take coarse mustard, add a little vinegar and garlic and then olive oil.

Oh, yum.  And some pepper would be okay, too, eh?  I love fresh shredded cabbage.

Pepper always. We have taken to keeping cabbage and carrots around. I can use the food processor to shred the cabbage and grate the carrots (because I can't use my arms for stuff like that). It really makes for such an easy meal. Some good bread and a little cheese or some cold meat left from another meal or whatever and you are good to go. On top of it all it is both super-cheap and super-healthy.

I always keep carrots around, too.  They're an inexpensive staple and they can pretty much go into everything.  And I heart my food processor :)

1. What kind of shoes are you wearing today? (in a shoe mood as I just saw a fabulous pair of heels someone was wearing lol)

None--home today w/a sick kid, so I'm barefoot. I did wear my fuzzy slippers to take DD to school though. Does that count?

2. Favorite Salad Dressing?

Balsamic.

3. Plans for the weekend

Cheer w/DD Saturday, church & church council mtg Sunday. Perhaps I'll do a little reading for class if I don't finish it today and tomorrow...which is a likely scenario w/DS home sick and hogging my iPad.

So--how much mustard, cider & preserves? That sounds AMAZING. During the holidays I was on a brie en croute kick, using apricot preserves. So. Good. But not so good for my butt when eaten weekly.

Most vitamins in salad are fat soluable, which means fat free dressing isn't the good option you think it is. You need a little fat w/your salad so that your body can absorb the nutrients in it.

Fat free is so 90s. When you know better, you do better.
