1. How much exercise have you gotten this week so far?
2. Do you get your father and/or the father of your child/ren something for Father's Day?
3. If you were given $10,000 today, what would you do with it?

This debate started yesterday. I missed tens of pages and decided to pick up at page 30 this morning only to find you here posting away!
But thanks for tacitly pointing out that you agree with my posts.
Thardy <I agree, you are not rich as you explain with your many posts here. I worry that you read so much into my posts about why you couldn't just answer the fluff question. Shall I explain how I know so much about annual intra-family transfers and the other ways the wealthy transfer money to their children to avoid estate taxes while alive? I don't because I don't want to brag. I know you popped in to let the working moms know you are so much better than they as you just got a $10K bonus. Great for you. No one took the bait, so I tried to give you snaps, really I did. Lots of clapping for good work done.
It's very simple ~ you know that $10,000 bonus minus taxes (at least a third for the super-rich like yourself, no?) is no longer even close to $10,000. Proof positive you came to brag. Good for you, just be clear many of us (if not all by now tho they won't admit it) understand what you were doing. What you are always doing. I feel sad that infrequent posts from you on a message board always have to do with you putting someone down or with establishing your super-wealth. I feel very, very badly for anyone who has that need, that cry for attention so very patent on a frivolous, anonymous message board. >
Thardy - you have explained how modest and hardworking your life was before marriage here, you've bragged often, so forgive me if I think you have as much experience with wealth as I do. There is family money and wealth building from enterprenual endevors. I know a bit about the latter and nothing about the former. So no letures needed.
You seem to be all over my 10K award - you can't let it go. It may have been indiscreet to mention, but I answered the fluff with honesty, because in the grand scheme of things, money is not that important to me. I'm it a position where it no longer controls me. If that's not rich, what is? Feel free to move on from my posts, but I will respond to personal and ignorant attacks as I see fit.
I just did, read above. I find it fascinating this circle answer that you have, you just can't answer the question, you have to redirect and divert. Totally fascinating behavior.
If you are considering the "area" ONLY that I can walk then ABSOLUTELY not.
But not all, I got it. Thanks.
Nope and those we would fly to, not drive, which is very far and few between.

I have no idea who you're describing THardby but it sure as heck ain't Chestnut... many of us have met her in real life (and I"m bummed I wasn't able to be among them) and have become friends with her over the years and the words 'bragging' and her name don't belong in the same book let alone the same sentence.
<<OMG, just admit you made a mistake>>
What mistake did I make????
<< And why would you think Spring would know bupkis about your the wife of the President of your particular University? >>
That was my point exactly! She seems to think she knows lots about others that she doesn't. So her speaking about the activities of my Univ President wouldn't be out of characte for her.

Spring, I think others here are drinking something much stronger than tea. Unbelievable.
Oh how I wish I was lol. Just finishing my tea now, it is cold but still caffeinated lol
Thanks, Bea. I probably shouldn't mentioned the 10K thing in my first post, I wasn't bragging, I was using an actual experience that some would consider pertinent, but I forgot my audience of the gang of three here.
