1. How much exercise have you gotten this week so far?

2. Do you get your father and/or the father of your child/ren something for Father's Day?

3. If you were given $10,000 today, what would you do with it?

That's nice. So does a ton of people from where I live to go to work. I have done it many times and wouldn't want to do it for work. That is why so many people will sacrifice the money to work closer to home than to deal with the commute everyday.

Spring, it's kind of funny that you compare everyone else's life to yours, but you admit that you don't really leave your *area* except for vacation destinations. Your experience seems to be very limited. Why can't you just accept that other people's experiences are their own, and may or may not be similar to yours?

Chestnut, I am just giggling over the "intra-family" transfers as a sign of true wealth. We do those, and we are not that wealthy.

Hooray.  Smile  Almost there, Roll.  The intra-family transfer of $10,000 would have been a more apt example in that, stick with me, there are no taxes for donor or donee.  A true and complete $10,000 gift.

That would be an example tho completely irrelevant again.  Where a $10,000 bonus minus a few thousand was never going to be apt.

You surprise me sometimes, Roll. Wink

Psst.  Ducky, instead of getting so hot and bothered by Spring, will you answer the OP?  Thanks.

< So, I called 'Nut on it.>

You reinterpreted my posts into untruths and created a new form of gibberish that, I guess, are meant to insult and belittle me. You've missed the mark. I'm unruffled, and truly content with the extent of my wealth, or lack thereof. I wish you could have the same. Good luck with that.

I am not really too impressed by all that stuff anyway as it IS a college so you would hope they would have things for the students. Oh, totally.  I would hope a university would lend its facilities to staff to compensate for salary as Savcal said.   My gym is truly exceptional for my needs, but I have to pay every penny out of pocket.

Again, i'm looking for any hint of insult in Chestnuts posts and I"m not finding it... so I guess we read things differently... I like her. She's been a good friend. And sometimes it's that simple.    Some of the women I've met only on this board (and some "boardies" that I have gotten to meet in real life) have been there for one another in ways that just humbles and astounds me and.. for me yes, but also for others, in times of hurt, want, need and pain..and also in times of celebration  and so I guess becuase I've seen, participated in and benefitted from some of that I don't see the put downs and the bragging that others might see.  But she certainly doesnt need me to defend her. she's a big girl... ;-)

Since it seems the ONLY definition of have gotten for my "area" was the places I can walk to, then what you are saying is absolutely NOT true.

Your experience seems to be very limited.

How so? Please explain.

Why can't you just accept that other people's experiences are their own, and may or may not be similar to yours?

Ummm...I have and that is why I have said we just don't enjoy going on weekend trips but would rather make it an entire week and then do things on the weekends (and NO, not just in walking distance-BAER).
