Who are these "rational" people since you just said your ds and ex have large tv's? BAWAHHHAA....

Not sure why 60" is now considered my "standard". lol. I never said that and never said I even had a tv that size-lol.

So you are aware of the clearness of hd. It just gets better on bigger tv's as my dd has hd too but a smaller tv and the picture is great but she would rather watch it bigger most of the times-lol.

I would say that how high it is, and if it's a problem, depends on the seating arrangement, and the size of the room. Ours is mounted above the fire place, which is perfect, given the distance of the couches and chair in the room. It does make it so that the kids don't sit on the floor to watch TV, but they have on occassion pulled out blankets and laid on their backs, looking up to watch a movie
