Do you consider yourself a private person or are you pretty open with the details of your life?

I think I am pretty open however if what is being asked adds nothing to the conversation at hand then I probably may or may not share the personal information.

I consider myself pretty open. I'm not going to give you my home address or anything, but I'm usually happy to share both the glitter and dirt of my life.

Very private about some things, very open about others. Chunks of my life are so private that I only discuss them with dh and my lawyer/friend and not even with my mother or siblings, for example. Other things I will be happy to discuss even with random people on a bus.

Yes, for example, I am consciously open about the fact that my brother is mentally ill. There is such a stigma about it, still, and so many people who do not talk about it.

I am waaaay too open in real life. On the Internet, different story. Just because I have a mental block about not knowing who the people are that are reading the messages. I've been reading, occasionally posting, on message boards forever, I think this week was the first time I used my real first name.
