3. What are you wearing today in this cold? Well, since it was pretty nice here, just jeans and a light sweater.

It has slowly warmed all day to the current 3 (F), -17 wind chill.   It was -14  this morning, with a -28 wind chill, so yes, all schools, and a good many businesses were closed for the 2nd day in a row.  SInce I did not and will not even put my nose out the door, I am wearing cutoffs and a tee shirt.

1. How cold is it by you? -- Now it is 41 with a WCI of 35.  It was 5 with a WCI of about 0 when we got up.

2. Was schools cancelled in your area because of the weather? -- Not in our district/city.  Oklahoma City canceled yesterday becasue of the cold. However, our kids were still on holiday break yesterday, so it didn't affect us at all.

3. What are you wearing today in this cold? - Black, knee-high leather boots, black thin tights, a black/white/red striped straight-line dress.

1. How cold is it by you?

Currently 16, supposed to be 10ish tonight.

2. Was schools cancelled in your area because of the weather?

I think some of them had delays.  I saw school buses this morning and they're usually gone before I go out.

3. What are you wearing today in this cold?

Jeans, a short-sleeved T under a long-sleeved one, a sweater, a scarf.  At times I thought I was having a heat stroke.  I can't handle that many layers.

1. How cold is it by you? -- According to weather.com, it got up to 13 degrees today.  It was 1 degree when I got home from work at 9(ish) this morning.  It's 10 degrees right now, but the wind has definitely calmed down.

2. Was schools cancelled in your area because of the weather? -- School in my county was open and on time today.

3. What are you wearing today in this cold? --  Last night I wore a pair of long jammie pants underneath my jeans (because I don't own long underwear any more).  It worked very well--the walk in from the parking lot is fairly long and the jammie pants layer helped keep the wind from cutting straight through my jeans.  I also had a t-shirt on under a sweatshirt (and my coat/gloves/hood).  I also put my usual running shoes in my backpack and wore my snow/rain boots for the drive to work--the running shoes have a mesh upper so they weren't suitable for such cold.  I wear them at work because the floors are so hard and it makes my knee happier.  Since the snow boots are water proof, it made the difference with the winds last night.

Tonight, I"m not wearing long johns/jammie pants nor a t-shirt under the sweatshirt.  But I'll bring a long-sleeved t, in case it gets warm in the office.

1. -4. -20 if you count the wind chill.

2. Yes. Monday, Tuesday, and now Wednesday, have all been canceled. We got 16 inches of snow, which brought the depth up to ~20 inches after the first storm earlier this week. Wind chills have dropped as low as -46. College campuses and businesses closed down. GM canceled shifts, banks didn't open. Large amounts of state workers were told to stay home.

3. I am wearing a black-with-white-polka-dots flared knit tunic over a pair of black leggings, with a black cardigan, and I've topped it off with a black and white scarf when I felt especially cold through the day. No shoes, because I didn't go outside.
