That does sound like a good thing in this economy!!! I hope your wait staff appreciates the extra tips!!

We went to FL at Christmas once (Disney). On Christmas Eve, we drove to Tampa so the girls could see the beach. We found one small fish restaurant open on Christmas Eve. And forget about finding a grocery store open after 5:00 so we could pick up breakfast for the next morning. The next morning, the only place we could find open in Kissimmee was Denny's. But that worked.

I did have 2 of them already cut out and Parker only got a sweatshirt because I ran out of covers when I was babysitting him at my house a couple of weeks ago so I made a pair of fleese pants.

i have a high school friend on my FB, she manages a restaurant/bar back home (i think her parents own it). she advertises special holiday hours, food and drink specials on that site.

your green bean dish sounds good. that's an easy side with heavy pasta dinners for us too, cooked then seasoned with salt, pepper, olive oil for taste.

Thats a great idea, lobster bisque is what i may normally do... but i like the lobster cornchowder idea and a steak and potato soup. The kids oldest wont eat soup...sigh, he has always had eating issues, where it is almost neurotic at times , i use to cater to his eating needs...not so much anymore.
