Except that Salvation Army type donations, or donations that aren't claimed on taxes, can't possibly make it into these statistics.

Nope they can not. I guess you could ask someone who is a mutual friend questions though.

Yep so she HAD to go through them to find out the info. It wasn't readily available to her just to go on her page and look.

Be careful, jdrf is a pretty big charity too.  You may just get notifications from my local chapter b/c your donation was to my kid's team too, You could have donated locally.

Ummm, no. For about the third time - it's irrelevant to the point.   The amount of tax savings will always be less than the amount of the donation.   And where did me giving anything come into this?

Sigh, not what you GAVE but the money amount you indicated was less than hers. Why bother even saying anything if you don't even know how much she contributed or how much her tax rate would be?
