I don't know about typical, but my kids get a hot breakfast, most days.

I'm not a SAHM but even if I was I don't see myself making hot breakfast every morning.

I had a SAHM and we mostly ate cold cereal for breakfast. Weekends would be hot breakfast time.

Schools do serve hot breakfast so I am sure many children (of SAHM's) get their hot breakfast their too.

I'm not sure what having a sahm has to do with eating breakfast at school.

I have one kid who eats at school almost every morning (despite the fact that she also eats at home with the rest of the kids) but our district doesn't give a *hot* breakfast. Cold cereal, begals, yogurt, and fruit are each given once a week. I'm not sure what the other days are...I'll have to check on it.

It doesn't matter if I'm working on a given day or sah all day.

My kids eat french toast, eggs or oatmeal...none of which take very long, nor are they unhealthy. Pancakes are usuallly reserved for weekends (or dinner, yummmm).

Saturdays are usually the day that they'll eat cereal, and on Sundays, dh cooks a traditional breakfast.
