Underage Drinking

We have friends who find nothing wrong with allowing their 16 year olds to drink. They allow them to have beer pong parties with their friends (because they are doing it in their home) and allow them to try different types of wines (In their words "to make them a connoisseur of wine").

We find this unacceptable as if they are doing it at home, you know they are doing it elsewhere and these kids are able to drive now so I can not believe that none of them ever drive home drunk.

What does everyone think of this?

Well then why would you ask me about security details at my child's school, then when I refused to provide them, say you wouldn't either if it were a private school without much security if you knew my children's school wasn't a private school. That makes less sense than most of the rest of the thread!

Perhaps the charges are related to the millions of minors to whom the church serves alcohol every year.  Hazeleyes has been quite vocal about how even legal circumstances for serving minors alcohol will inevitably lead to minors engaging in illegal alcohol consumption.

Charges of crimes against humanity have been filed at The Hague, which probably won't go anywhere because of jurisdictional issues. Another group claims that it has an arrest warrant for the pope from some unnamed European nation for international criminal conspiracy, which was served on the Vatican less than a week before he resignation announcement Today the Vatican confirmed that the pope will not leave the walks of the Vatican for fear of losing his immunity to prosecution.

I really hoped to heaven your long sabbatical had been beneficial. Oh well, not all prayers are answered.
