Underage Drinking

We have friends who find nothing wrong with allowing their 16 year olds to drink. They allow them to have beer pong parties with their friends (because they are doing it in their home) and allow them to try different types of wines (In their words "to make them a connoisseur of wine").

We find this unacceptable as if they are doing it at home, you know they are doing it elsewhere and these kids are able to drive now so I can not believe that none of them ever drive home drunk.

What does everyone think of this?

Establishing ground rules, i.e. don't friend people you don't know, before my kid(s) even set up an account is prudent parenting!

It's not her FIL. Arrest reports are public information.

What relevence is petit larceny to this thread?

To hazeleyes, This thread has taken quite a few turns, from underage drinking to security in schools to transubstantiation to police records? Seriously, it's time to start a new thread!;-)

What relevance is petit larceny to this thread? We've been talking all along about character issues and respect for the law. Turns out the OP was making her firm stand on some pretty shaky ground. Kind of takes the winds out of the sails of the Ship of Self-Righteousness.

If you have kids in sports you know what keeping score is.

Normal kid stuff is one thing, To bounce kids back and forth b/w schools is something I don't understand, But hey, I wouldn't call teachers incompetent either. I have more respect for them than that.
