I. I  like silence,  I only have the TV if actively watching it and do not listen to the radio.

2. I eat lunch at work.  When we still had our dog I had to come home at lunch and let him out and that added 45 minutes to my day.  Much prefer to have a quick lunch and get back to work, plus if I do not leave the building I do not have to clock out.

3. I am the second of 4. G G B G.  But the first three of us are a lttle less than 5 years apart and my youngest sister was a surprise baby 9 years later so for most of my childhood I was the middle of three.

1.  When home alone do you like background noise? -- Yes, absolutely. Pure quiet stresses me out.  I have either music on or the tv.

2.  Do you go home for lunch, go out to eat or eat at work/ -- all of the above.  Most often I bring my lunch (usually leftovers. Today is leftover chicken/pasta soup and a small salad). Dh and I try to meet for a lunch date once a week. I go to lunch with friend(s) ocasionally. And when it is cold and we have to leave The Dog inside, one of us goes home for lunch so he can do his business.

3. Where are you in your birth order? -- 2nd of four.  But in terms of personality, etc, I'm the "oldest".

Like you, Empty, for much of my childhood I was the youngest. My sister is three years older than I, then there is a 9 year gap, and then my two brothers, who are less than two years apart. So there is 14 years between oldest and youngest.. And 9 and 11 years between me and my brothers. We were a very different family before my brothers than after. It's an interesting dynamic.

1. I either have the house quiet or have classical music playing. If I am cleaning I sometimes listen to a variety of stuff via I-Tunes. 2. Eat at work usually. Two or three lunches out for business reasons over the course of a month, usually.

Are you the oldest DD?   I have noticed that if a 2nd child is a different sex than the 1st then they will in a lot of ways be like a 1st.  DH is a second but the 1st male so acts  a lot like a 1st born.

I have music on at work all the time too. I've found I can't work without it. And I have music on in the car, and when I'm at the gym. Music is very important to me and listen to it almost all the time. Right now, it's Pandora - a mix of all my current stations. The current selection is "Up On the Roof" - James Taylor.

1.  I like background noise unless I'm reading.  Either HGTV or a favorite movie--when sewing, definitely a movie.

2. At work.  We generally order out on Friday, but we still eat *at* work.  There's not too many places to go and eat at 3:30am :)

3. 3rd of 4 kids; youngest daughter.

Almost the same gap that we had.  14 years between by older sister and younger sister.   Since she was only 11 when the rest of us left the nest her experience was more of an only child.  My oldest nephew is only  7 years younger than her , so they have more of a cousin relationship than a aunt/nephew one.

Dh has similar too. He is the youngest of five, and there is a 9 year gap between him and the 4th child. The first four only have 4ish years between them (oldest are twins). His parents split when he was fairly young, so he really had a very "only child" like experience. There should have been a sixth child, but his mother had a late term miscarriage (due to chemical exposure).
