I think we need a little fluff :)
1. Have you/Will you decorate(d) for the fall?
2. Have you started any Holiday shopping yet?
3. What is one food (or drink) that you look forward to when the weather gets cooler?
Bonus (it was a discussion at work yesterday and wondered others opinions):
4. If you were able to have an inheritance for your children (or maybe you have already experienced this with your own family), and you were able to live comfortably and was not relying on that money to survive, would you rather spend the money while you are alive and watch your children enjoy the money now or would you rather have it given to them when you died?

You all might think this is sad, but it is a rule that anyone who lives in my state must eat at Olive Garden when they are out in the rest of the states.
They advertise often here, but they won't move here.

I am so not an Olive Garden fan. We've been a couple of times with the kids in recent memory, but I prefer not to.
Well, I would hope that people only take their families on vacations they can afford. What does that have to do with my response? You can still go on affordable vacations w/o going to Disney and cruises through the Caribbean and give your children experiences that are different than going to various beachy vacation/cruises in the Caribbean or to Disney. Obviously you prefer to do that, but really, the vacation in and of itself is relatively similar even though you are going to different islands. That's fine, but I think the point people here are trying to make is that they aren't really that varied of an experience. I get that people like to go someplace warm and relaxing for vacation - I do too. I've been to both Hawaii and St. John - too very different locations, and even though we had different experiences in both places, they were still in the end, similar in that they were warm, sunny, beach vacations. Nothing wrong with that but I don't have a problem realizing that if that's the only kind of vacation I took, my kids wouldn't really be having varied experiences. That's all some people like to do when they go on vacation, but then don't act like it's truly so different each time.
I am sure there are other places that are affordable, inside the U.S. but this is what we have chosen in the last few years. Compared to other people I know who go to the same places every single year, we are exposing our children to different places and things.
Who knows in the future we will take the kids on a Medittearean one or one to Hawaii, Tahiti. You never know.
