I think we need a little fluff :)

1. Have you/Will you decorate(d) for the fall?

2. Have you started any Holiday shopping yet?

3. What is one food (or drink) that you look forward to when the weather gets cooler?

Bonus (it was a discussion at work yesterday and wondered others opinions):
4. If you were able to have an inheritance for your children (or maybe you have already experienced this with your own family), and you were able to live comfortably and was not relying on that money to survive, would you rather spend the money while you are alive and watch your children enjoy the money now or would you rather have it given to them when you died?

Well, most cruises go from specified port to specified port and give X amount of time in each. I prefer determine how much time I spend in a city not the cruise ship. I may want to spend an extra day or two in "X" city and completely bypass "Y" city. I may want to go somewhere the cruise ship cannot or don't.

I am sure there are people who value their family more than I value mine. I am equally sure there are people who value their family less than I value mine.

What about spring break, fall break, Christmas break, Thanksgiving break? Those are all more than a day or so of break from school, does the school system in your area not have these types of breaks?
Spring break-camp available
Christmas-dh can't get that week off
Thanksgiving-dh works the Friday and Sat. after Thanksgiving
Winter break-camp available
Just days here and there after that

Are the kids required to attend a certain number of weeks of camp a summer? In other words, is it either you sign up and pay for 6 weeks (example) or nothing?
I can sign up for 2-8 weeks of camp. They also have 2 weeks inbetween school with no camp. I take those 2 weeks and need the other 8 for camp.

I think we are shooting for Christmas or spring break this year, summer is way too busy now that kids are in high school.
Way too busy at those times of the year to go away, IMO.

That is why I like to come back at least 2 days before work to do laundry and get back to normal. I have done the day before and it is way to overwhelming.

Why couldn't everyone agree to something?

Confirms that point that its just not about schedules.
