I think we need a little fluff :)

1. Have you/Will you decorate(d) for the fall?

2. Have you started any Holiday shopping yet?

3. What is one food (or drink) that you look forward to when the weather gets cooler?

Bonus (it was a discussion at work yesterday and wondered others opinions):
4. If you were able to have an inheritance for your children (or maybe you have already experienced this with your own family), and you were able to live comfortably and was not relying on that money to survive, would you rather spend the money while you are alive and watch your children enjoy the money now or would you rather have it given to them when you died?

"I have to disagree that you really don't know until you try it."

What are you disagreeing with I agreed with you.

"You will never get us to go to Alaska."

I have been there but only on a layover on my move to Japan.

Call me weird but when we are planning our vacations we think about things we would like to do to spend our money and time on. We have never thought, well I don't think I will like it but what the heck lets just spend our money and time on it anyway.

Yes. I have been traveling since I was 4 months old. At 3 I went to Barbados. I have been to other places in the Caribbean, Bermuda, Hawaii (not outside of US

Well, you are the one that stated cruise stops are "educational" experiences.

You really think a day in a Haiti tourist destination is insightful?

then there's vacations from he$$ where one person in the group tries to control everything, LOL. gfs and i did the isle of the palms one year and one person in our group tried to control every single thing we did, you can't really predict these things but i'll tell you what, you live and learn, i could never vacation like that again.

Boy. And also, Howdee :) The first time the whole blended bunch of us did DisneyWorld (shortly after ex and his wife had their first), my ex began to show signs of doing just that (he called a "planning meeting" to "go over our daily itinerary" in *JUNE* (we went in December). Knowing him as I do, I told him right up front at the meeting, that I was fine with whatever he and John decided now, but I was reserving the right for ANYONE in the group to decide to bow out of any plan, on any day, for any reason if they didn't feel like that plan for that day with no repercussions (cuz the ex can get really funny about vacations--he builds them up in his head to this weird Perfect Family Togetherness Moment™ for the entire time and he can really get his fee-fees hurt if everyone isn't having the absolute best time they've ever had in their lives every single minute. He means well, but NOBODY can have that much fun for so long :D)

I also reminded him that his wife would have been only a couple months shy of having given birth and between the newborn and her recovery, she may not be up to that much activity the entire time. I prefer to have at least one day in these marathon Disney runs to kick back and chill at the pool, so I was making sure up front he knew that going in and wouldn't get all butt hurt when we couldn't live up to his expectations. We still usually get at least one instance every trip where we have to explain to him that it's okay if every moment isn't the perfect Kodak moment--talk him down from the ledge--he takes it so PERSONALLY!! Damned Leo ;)

I'm with you; I cannot be that planned on vacation. I admit, with someone like him, we DO get quite a lot in and that's a good thing. But I always have to remind him, I need unscheduled time, too. I get a pass, since I'm the ex and we know how contrary exes can be ;)

So basically, outside of the US, you've only been to the Caribbean?

You've been badgering Savcal over and over about where she has been outside of the US as if you are a world traveler, when really you are not.

Cruise? Why?
.
I'd prefer to get skin on the ground. Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Athens are not cruise destinations.

BTW - There would be no affordable cruises that do France, Italy, and Greece if you know geography at all.

Compromising is basically settling for something. You are happy when you have to settle for something more than once?

Compromise is settling for something while someone else is ALSO settling for something. Permits both to get mostly what they want and a little of what they can live with. Yeah, I'm more than happy to compromise--once, twice, however many times. I'm always getting most of what I want.

It helps that I'm a naturally happy, easy-going person.
