I think we need a little fluff :)

1. Have you/Will you decorate(d) for the fall?

2. Have you started any Holiday shopping yet?

3. What is one food (or drink) that you look forward to when the weather gets cooler?

Bonus (it was a discussion at work yesterday and wondered others opinions):
4. If you were able to have an inheritance for your children (or maybe you have already experienced this with your own family), and you were able to live comfortably and was not relying on that money to survive, would you rather spend the money while you are alive and watch your children enjoy the money now or would you rather have it given to them when you died?

Yes, more practical and relaxing all around.

Why sigh about Lauren's need to know all the ingredients in a dish at a restaurant (not secrets)? I guess some people who have never had to deal with food allergies have no empathy for those that deal with it every day. I don't understand why that would be a big deal and/or incomprehensible.

I tend to pack heavier on short trips than long.

How long do you general stay at your mother's house for a visit--in which you don't do laundry? If you generally only stay for a long weekend I could see that.

When I go to stay with family it's usualoly a week or more and I always wash all our clothes during the trip. I really can't see taking 2 weeks of clothes, when I could pack smaller and take one week of clothes and wash everything at some point during the stay.

Just for clarification, "not having to cook" doesn't mean always eating out at a restaurant. It just means not having to cook/clean. Not cooking/cleaning can mean:

Restaurant meal
Granola bars
Cereal
Room service
Fruit and yogurt (remember that, LOL)
Drive-thru
Delivery
Cold sandwiches
etc.

Yes it can be very serious--I don't think there is any reason to dismiss Lauren's concerns.

I understand (really), but we were just students. For clothes, I had a pair of black slacks, a pair of nice jeans, 3 blouses, pajamas, 3 changes of underwear, and a comfortable but nice pair of black shoes. Other than that, toothbrush/paste, hairbrush, comb, travel-size makeup, and hairspray.
