I think we need a little fluff :)

1. Have you/Will you decorate(d) for the fall?

2. Have you started any Holiday shopping yet?

3. What is one food (or drink) that you look forward to when the weather gets cooler?

Bonus (it was a discussion at work yesterday and wondered others opinions):
4. If you were able to have an inheritance for your children (or maybe you have already experienced this with your own family), and you were able to live comfortably and was not relying on that money to survive, would you rather spend the money while you are alive and watch your children enjoy the money now or would you rather have it given to them when you died?

That's what we do, too. Certain TSA guys seem to get really cranky about it, but it works wonderfully.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I envisioned it, which is why I've never done it, either.

The problem is, speaking as a former restaurant worker, that all kinds of ditzy women claim peculiar food allergies to get special treatment, special orders or to adhere to some oddball slimming scheme. It is so widespread that many servers have long since ceased to take claims of allergies seriously. It is too bad and not right, but that is the problem IME.

I hear ya! Traveling with my son will always be problematic, but it is much less so now that he's not a little kid anymore. When he was, it was not even a little bit enjoyable.

I've done both (stayed on and off property). I've done all inclusive, mostly inclusive and totally a la cart. I've enjoyed all the experiences. Disney definitely markets a "Disney experience" that's wrapped up tight in staying on the property, but I, personally--based on my experience--disagree that one must stay on the property to get it.

Of course you miss out on something with packaged tour deals. Europe is a big place aand no one can do everything in two weeks (or however long you are there). So you will alaways get to experience some things and miss out on others. With the packaged tour, you get a set of pre-selected experiences that someone has packaged for you. Many people are fine with that. By the way, I spent the summer 005 in Paris working for a tour company. My job was to meet groups coming in to Paris on Tuesdy afternoon, escort them to their hotel, take them to several sites and to dinner, lead a walking tour of Paris on Wednesday morning, let them spend thre hours at the Louvre, make suggestions for their free morning on Thursday, and get them back to the airport for an early afternoon plane to Rome.I think I did a pretty good job packaging Paris, but they saw eight or ten things out of a possible thousand or so cool things to see in Paris.

Packaged tours are great for people who have no strong opinions about what they would like to do on a trip and are content to let others choose their sights, hotels, restaurants and itineraries. They are not so great for people who have unusual or specific interests or who want to be free to choose their own restaurants and hotels and who want to control how long they spend at a specific site.

I agree, which is why I wouldn't buy a meal plan that limits those choices.
