You have my sympathy with the slow decision making, but I confess that I am pretty bad myself. That said, I am way swifter than my parents. It could take them years to decide on a piece.

I enjoy taking advantage of the fact that some people will chuck perfectly good furniture in the name of getting a matching set.
That is a good point. I have a few curb rescues too.
When we have given away furniture, we've always checked with friends/family first and usually managed to get rid of most that way.
i think furniture is one of those things that are hard to sell if one is looking for a change or something new, hence the reason you might see perfect pieces on the curb? my daughter has had this full size brass bed since we first moved to TX, the year was 2004 and she was in first or second grade. she's in 8th now and wants something "new", she's not getting it and part of that is because, what the heck are we going to do with what she has there now.. there is purple heart i suppose.
