1. Do you have any tattoos?

2. What was the last thing you bought?

3. Would you rather be behind the camera or in front of it?

4. Window or Aisle seat?

5. Have you ever had a poem or song written about you?

We already told you what we do in those thirty seconds - anything other than move stuff we don't like and don't want.

Cru, you are on about how these pillows and placemats and towels for show are so lovely and no trouble at all and you don't seem to get that there are those of us who have no interest in owning extra items we don't want, need, or like. That is what makes them a waste of money.

You keep saying how it is common to find beds with looks like yours in stores, and how it is common to find looks like yours in magazines, etc, so it sure seemed like you are going for the common look.

lol!! I think people sometimes think if takes more time out of your day to make things a little nicer. I would love to know what others would do with that 30 seconds (I should really time it exactly as it might not even take that long) that I put my pillows on my bed to make it look more put together. lol.

It's not just that it takes 30 seconds. It is that we don't like the look of zillions of pillows on our beds. There are quite a few ways to pull a bedroom together and make it look nice, without adding lots of pillows.

I keep telling you, they would do what they want do do with that time, rather than doing what they do not want to do. I have a lot of paintings and framed prints on my walls. I spend about a half hour a week dusting the frames. To me it is time well spent because I really like my art and do not mind maintaining it one bit. But if someone did not like the art, it would be a waste of their time to have it, and they would be better off just getting rid of the art and doing something elsse with their time, however little time it is.

A model home to me looks rather generic and soul-less. Maybe that is why the "ugg" was spoken. The house just looked too common?

Yeah, it's pretty much the entire function of home staging--model homes being the ultimate example of it. Decorating for a home sale is a completely different thing from home decorating.

One trick I learned from our realtor last time we sold a home I still use. It was her contention that every room should have something yellow in it, because yellow is a cheerful color that puts people in a good mood. So she had me do things such as put a bowl of lemons on the kitchen counter or put yellow candles on the mantel in the living room. I liked the look and I still use it.

I agree. I spend quite a lot of time taking care of my house plants, but I love them. I also spend a lot of time with the flowers in the flowerbeds around the house. Partly because they look nice in the yard, but also because I like being able to cut them and decorate inside too. If I didn't like the look of decorating with houseplants or cut flowers, I wouldn't bother spending the time it takes to maintain them.
