1. If you own a home, do you have your homeowners taxes in your mortgage or do you pay separately?

2. Do you do anything for St. Patrick's Day?

3. What is one of your guilty pleasure TV shows?

Darn, I feel so unloved because you aren't my friend.

I love the old reruns on Nick at Night and TV Land.  I was talking to my massage therapist the other day and he admitted to being a Dobie Gillis fan.  I thought that was kind of cute.

"Ahh, It must be because of where you are. There are so many lower socio-economic areas, Somebody has to pay for it..." -------- Real estate taxes are local. Are you saying that Molly lives in a down-and-out area?

Somebody has to make up the difference for the illegal apartments.

Well, if you follow the chest's logic you should not be collecting a refund at the end of the year then either.  I guess I'm a little more consistent, I mean I let my bank sit on my escrow and I also let the IRS sit on my money and collect a refund at tax time too.  Sure beats spending money on slimey brokers, Lol.

How is one better than the other? lol

What is different about overpaying taxes to overpaying into escrow? Why can't you speak to that? Most financial advisors would recommend that you avoid escrow when possible, and adjust withholding to minimize overpayment (or underpayment) of taxes. If you recognize one option as financially savvy, why ignore the other?

I listen to my CPA for our tax situation. WE made the decision years ago not to escrow.

Who has said I have an escrow? I know I have not.

Nope you have not but this statement makes it kind of clear that you don't mind if they DO hold your money in escrow (if they do):

I will say this, I have no objection to my mortgage company making a profit on my mortgage, since that's the only reason they lent it to me in the first place.
