1.  Does it feel like fall yet where you are, or is it still summer?

2.  Those of you with kids in school, how's the year shaping up so far?

3.  What are you looking forward to this fall?

4.   Read any good books lately?

This morning it is a little less humid but basically, no, it is still humid and summerlike.

2.  Those of you with kids in school, how's the year shaping up so far?

Only the 2nd day so, so far, so good.

3.  What are you looking forward to this fall?

Football baby!!!! Less humid weather.

4.   Read any good books lately?

Been too busy but maybe when things slow down I can start reading again.

1. Still summer, but a much cooler one than usual.

2. SO glad to be out of that phase of life!

3. Turning 50. Weird thing to look forward to, I know...but I am.

4.  The last "book" I read was the proposal I wrote over Labor Day weekend.  It's been a while since I read a real book. I have several waiting for me.

1.  Does it feel like fall yet where you are, or is it still summer? It has gotten cooler, but is still very summery.

2.  Those of you with kids in school, how's the year shaping up so far? Dd is in college, and she does not start classes till October. She is leaving from here though in about a week, going back to sort out her new house and then going to Copenhagen for a week before school starts.

3.  What are you looking forward to this fall? Finishing a project that has been on "hover" all through the stupid cancer.

4.   Read any good books lately? Reread Death in Venice last week, and it was as good as the first time, except gained Visconti's beautiful pictures as accompaniment in the interim.

Temps have been cool in the morning, so it's getting there.

2.  Those of you with kids in school, how's the year shaping up so far?

AWESOME! But busy: scouting and sports and homework are keeping us busy!

3.  What are you looking forward to this fall?

Girl's weekend next month w/friends.

4.   Read any good books lately?

I'm currently reading a memoir by Britain's longest-serving midwife. It is fascinating.

1.  It has been cooler but still very much summer.

2.  It's going to be a long year, lol.

3.  Cooler temperatures, final decisions about college, more fall sports (football, soccer and baseball) and gaining my hour of sleep back!

4.  I just finished the latest Carla Neggers novel and have downloaded some other books from Amazon including 20th Century Ghosts.

1.  Does it feel like fall yet where you are, or is it still summer? -- Well, it felt like fall for part of summer, lol.  And then it got hot, and this week has been cooler again, but we're due for almost 100 this weekend again.  So my answer changes every 5 minutes.

2.  Those of you with kids in school, how's the year shaping up so far? -- Good so far.  I haven't had a call from the principal or a teacher yet.  The Boy made first chair in band on his first tryout! The Girl has successfully navigated the logistics of getting from the HS to the Univ campus for her college course.  I'd call those wins.

3.  What are you looking forward to this fall? -- Immediately, I'm looking forward to the Gentlemen of the Road tour this weeked.  Mumford & Sons, Alabama Shakes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Justin Townes Early and many many more.

4.   Read any good books lately? -- I'm about 3/4 through A Tree Grown in Brooklyn.  I probably should have read it years ago.  I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah, add to my #3 -- college visits. We have two scheduled, but not until late November. I'm anxious.

We have had the strangest weather this summer, wouldn't you agree?

I'm really hoping for a decision soon for the oldest and guess what college is on the list to visit for the youngest next year?
