1. What is one thing that worries you right now?

2. Does the weather by you think it is fall/winter/spring or summer?

3. How is your calendar for October? Slow, medium, busy?

Most of my staff do not work more than 40 hours a week. It is very rare that they stay late.    Sometimes I even shoo them out of the office.

Ehh, if I went into the private sector or moved I could make more.  But it isn't all about the money.

I guess not when you get CS too so I guess it equals out to what you should be paid.

Technically, I work more than 40 hours a week most weeks.

How so when you take 30 minute breaks during the day? How many breaks do you take?

I'm sure if SavCal had wanted to move to a different state, she would have.

I've claimed to work more than 40 hours a week. But its more like 42-45 on a normal week.  50ish on a bad week.

Again, breaks are not only allowed and encouraged, but are very good management strategy.

Shoot, sometimes my boss and I take breaks together - which usually involve talking about food, movies or music.

So they don't even work 40 hours with all their breaks.

Yep, I could make more in a different state. Just this week I saw two fantastic job opportunities at other universities for which I'm qualified - one at a Univ where a colleague was encouraging me to apply. But I don't want to work in a different state.  Five years from now? different story.

We work as a team.  We work very interdepently; I'm about 20 feet from my staff; their productivity and performance are in full view almost all day.  (except when I'm physically out of the office)

Again, I dont' take a set number of breaks.   The answer would vary from day to day.

I've claimed to work more than 40 hours a week. But its more like 42-45 on a normal week.  50ish on a bad week.

Not if you take lunch and a bunch of breaks (30 mins sometimes)

Again, breaks are not only allowed and encouraged, but are very good management strategy.

30 min breaks are encouraged? Surprised

Shoot, sometimes my boss and I take breaks together - which usually involve talking about food, movies or music.

For 30 mins?
