In honor of the other thread, and the weeke
nd:

1. Where have you been? How many US States? Outside of the USA?

2. If, on your next two week vacation, you had to go back to someplace you have already been, where would it be?

3. Is there any place you would not rturn to, and why?

4. Where in the USA would you like to go next?

5. Where outside the USA would you like to go next?

I think you guys are all a bunch of showoffs, with all that 'visiting countries legally' thing.

Crocodiles, snakes and sharks, plus I have no idea how I would survive there, since I don't drive. MIL often tried to lure me down there, but I resisted.

During the first Gulf War DH pissed on Iraq. But he did it from Turkey (one of those things that men can do better than woman).

Well I do have a story about being in East Germany illegally back in the day. I needed to go to Dresden fto look at some MSS and I got a visa and everything, but we got in by taking the train from either Prague or Budapest, I forgot. There were, to my surprise, no border formalities. So we spent three miserable days in Dreden, although the librarians were very very nice. Bbut when we tried to leave, we could not get an exit stamp because we had no entry stamp. We spent two more days tromping through various courtrooms, police stations and government offices getting it all straightened out. The only good thing about it is that my ability to speak and understand German improved quite a bit in that 48 hours.

1. Where have you been? How many US States? Outside of the USA? I have lived in 7 "state like entities" - Iowa, Montana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia and DC. I have been to all but Wisc, Nevada, Alaska ans Hawaii. I have been to five Canadian Provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, British Columbia and Newfoundland. I have been to 8 European countries- some two or three times : UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Italy.

2. If, on your next two week vacation, you had to go back to someplace you have already been, where would it be? Lake District in England.

3. Is there any place you would not return to, and why? Italy- it wasn't my favorite and there are so many more places to go that I haven't been.

4. Where in the USA would you like to go next? Hawaii

5. Where outside the USA would you like to go next? I would love to see Greece, but it isn't in the foreseeable future. As a family we will probably go on the Southern Spain/Morocco trip or the Peru/Chili trip. In HS, both boys will go with one parent to Transylvania, Romania on a church trip. We are also looking at the Beliz/Guatamala trip or substitute it for the Yucatan Peninsula as it offers the same type of attractions (snorkeling, caving and Mayan ruins). Still a chance for an Australia/New Zealand trip.
