In honor of the other thread, and the weeke
nd:

1. Where have you been? How many US States? Outside of the USA?

2. If, on your next two week vacation, you had to go back to someplace you have already been, where would it be?

3. Is there any place you would not rturn to, and why?

4. Where in the USA would you like to go next?

5. Where outside the USA would you like to go next?

Actually Niagara Falls is on the border so parts are in Canada and parts in the U.S.

I think the Canadian side is a more popular attraction.

I've lived in 5 states. I've spent time visiting in at least 9 others. The only place I've been outside the US is Cancun.

2. If, on your next two week vacation, you had to go back to someplace you have already been, where would it be?

No, I'd want to go somewhere new!

3. Is there any place you would not rturn to, and why?

Um, not a fan of Wyoming really.

4. Where in the USA would you like to go next?

I really want to go outside the US!

5. Where outside the USA would you like to go next?

I think Costa Rica.

i don't know about the virgin islands but passports are a fairly recent thing to some places..18 years ago, we did NOT need a passport to acapulco, mexico, we would need one to go there now.

The US Virgin Islands are part of the US. There has never been a time when one goes FROM a US point of departure directly to a US point of entry, when one needed a passport. It's like going from Indiana to Ohio. You don't need a passport to do it.

If you go on a cruise and go to the Bahamas (non-US) and then go to the US Virgin Islands, you DO need to go through customs before entering the US Virgin Islands. Why? Because you just traveled internationally and are re-entering the US. If you travel from Miami to Puerto Rico, you do NOT need to show a passport because you haven't LEFT the US (one US point directly to another US point).

It is true that border requirements between the US and the Caribbean, US and Mexico and US and Canada have changed recently. But in no way does this mean that border requirements between the US and the US Virgin Islands or the US and Puerto Rico have changed.

in short, you DON'T need a passport to enter the US Virgin Islands *UNLESS* you have been in another country immediately prior to arriving there.

In honor of all of the designer shopping threads on this board, you'll have to make a trip to Königsstraße and let us all know what's being offered this season.
