Any weekend plans?

At this point we really don't have any.

DH may have to work if he does then I may go to the mall for Chistmas shopping or at least ideas. If he does not have to work then we may go to the movies.

My kids had the day off today so our weekend started yesterday. Youngest is at a friend's today which worked out well b/c the other three have projects/reports due Monday so that's been keeping them busy today. We have four soccer games this weekend and dd6 has a birthday party tomorrow to go to. We are going out to dinner tomorrow night with three couples in our neighborhood. Dd12 is babysitting our kids for the first time ever which makes me a little nervous! She can be bossy and my younger son is an agitator so the thought of them all together alone....yikes! No other plans for the weekend. Might invite my dad for dinner on Sunday night b/c my mom is OOT visiting her sister and he's been alone all week.

This weekend my family is hosting "Mr. Turtle", my 2-year-old son's plush class mascot.

Argh! Christmas already? You are scawing me here.

I am planning to have an Arabic lesson Saturday, no other plans really.

Dd is gone to a friend's house for the night, so I let ds pick out a video game rental for the weekend. I picked up Horrible Bosses for dh and I to watch and if we start early enough, I'd like to also watch Red State from Netflix. It's supposed to suck - but I'm a sucker for Kevin Smith. The plan is to snuggle with some great-smelling, freshly-laundered blankets, eat pizza that someone else made, and round off the night with some cabernet sauvignon and dark chocolate :)

We are invited to an adult birthday party tomorrow night, but it's a distant enough friend that we'll likely go or not go based on our mood. I'd like to drag my brother and my SIL to Ikea on Saturday because they've never been and I'd like a few small things.

Sunday morning, I'll do a little baking to make treats for a small family birthday party in the afternoon.

But mostly, I'm only concerned with my lazy movie night tonight!

I really wish our stubborn tree would just drop its leaves already; it's gorgeous outside. I swear the leaves only fall from the weight of (cold) raindrops. Every year, I'm out there drying the leaves just enough with the blower to rake them into the street just before the city picks them up!

Basically yard work. I need to mow, and the back yard desparately needs raking. And then, probably, mowing as well. The side door patio and basement stairs need to be swept and I want to get the mums and iris planted. If I have any energy left after that, I'm going to put the holiday lights in the shrubs, and figure out my wiring plan, since the electrical cord will have to pass both doors to the house to get to the outlet at the back of the side patio.

And I need to make two fleece Hello Kitty lovies for a friend's daughter for Christmas--that has to be shipped, hence the huge lead time.
