Nice timing! With a little luck the filters won't catch you for a day or two. Quiet weekend, not Irish, cold.

1. Busy busy busy. Took the kids and two extras to a Doc Severinsen concert last night - it was amazing. I'm about to head out now with the kids (and one extra) to OKC to see my HS girls bb team play for the state championship. When we get back, dh and I are going out to dinner for our 7th anniversary. Then tomorrow I have an 8 mile run planned, as well as the usual grocery shopping etc. And The Girl is driving us to the city today; getting some good driving experience.

2. When is it? lol No specific plans; we'll be in Albuquerque, exchanging kids with their dad.

3. Very much spring overall. A little on the chilly side today though. Cooler than the 70+ that it has been most of the week.

I like corned beef so it is nice to get on sale this time of year. We've already had some last week and will probably have it again before the month is out.

To answer your question, I like to stay busy, so this weekend after supper I went down to Kohl's as I had a lot of Kohl's cash to spend. DH and I had a date Saturday as it is the 22nd anniversary of our first date and we always dk something special such as go to a sports bar and watch a game on that day as I feel that it is important to nurture your marriage. Anyway I was going to buy some new boots as all of mine are six months old of more and just because I am a mother and over foty is no reason to let myself go as many of the women by me do and then they wonder why their husbands are always working late but don't bring home overtime pay such as mine does. Hah! I ended up not finding shoes in my size that I liked but I found the cutest set of shamrock lights that we will put up and surprise the kids with on St Oatrick's Day. So many people don't take the trouble but I feel you must always be making memories with you'd children as they drow uk so fast. Saturday morning we had my niece's daughter's firt birthday party. They had rented such a nice hall and over three hundred people showed up. It was not as much fun as I thought because my children wanted to help open the presents but they insisted on doing it all themselves and the photographer only got about fifteen formal shots of the extended family. I hope one is good because I want to order ae enlargement to frame and hang in the living room above our sofa. The one we have now is from last year and three inches smaller than the large screen TV we just bought and hung over our mantel so they don't balance each other off right which bothers me because I am very particular about my house, not like some who don't make the effort. Anyway I took my signature Strawberry CoolWhip pie to the party which people always rave about and want the recipe for. Then DH and ij went to our date and I wore my leather skirt, well it looks just like leather, and my peep-toe boots, which even if they are almost a year old are still in style. Today we will do a little yard work before it rains to keep up the landscaping, which is all nice and modern, more so than most. I have a big pot of sauce on the stove which we will have for dinner along with some macaroni and bread. This afternoon the whole family will go to the mall and look in all the store windows to aee if there is anything we need to buy. We have a big surprise for the kids that we will tell them after supper! We are going on a Disney cruise over Spring Break!
