Mine are:

1. Fussy babies and noisy kids at movies that aren't specifically kid's movies. Drives me crazy. I didn't pay money to leave my kids at home so I could enjoy a movie only to have someone bring a crying kid.

2. Cell phones at movie theaters.

3. People yacking at movies (see a trend here? lol!).

3. People cruching ice and popping gum.

4. People who are habitually late. I have a brother-in-law who is always late and I decided it was a control thing on his part, so now that the family gatherings are mostly at our house, we start on time with or without him. He is on time a lot more now. I decided I wasn't going to play his game and he was going to conform to our time schedule rather than making 10 other people wait for him. My MIL sort of questioned whether that was rude or not and I asked her if it was more rude to start without him or for him to make the rest of us wait while the food got cold. She didn't say much. I know she doesn't approve, but like I said, it is a control thing on his part and I'm not playing the game.

That's why I'll never be thin! Carbs are my favorite food, far and away.

You know how hard it is for a Latina to be on a low carb diet?

All our foods involve rice & bread in some fashion!! Carbs are my complete weakness!!!

Jenna, I agree with everything you said. I eat about 60 to 80 carbs a day. Any more and I don't lose any weight, any less and the same thing happens. I may eat spaghetti or lasagne once a week, I may allow myself a piece of whole grain toast with my scrambled eggs in the morning. I also allow myself lots of nuts and berries and vegetables. I eat a very healthy diet and feel better than I have in years.

Great job on the 46 pounds! For me..26 pounds gone since May 1st.

There are actually many reasons one shouldnt combine low carb with high miles. The main one being our bodies need to rebuild muscle glycogen-which is not aided by protein. Have you discussed your regime with your doctor? There have been quite a few studies done on high protein diets and intense exercise, and most have indicated that carbs are VERY necessary for athletes. When your body doesnt intake enough carbs, you start losing muscle mass.

I found a few articles online, they just give some various info about carb loading and such, and what is recommended for athletes. You might find them kind of interesing (or not, just throwing it out there!). I do realize that some people do better with less carbs, but please be careful when combining it with running. 25 miles a week isnt what I would call extremely low mileage, its enough that you might want to at least consult a physican to make sure you are getting enough carbs and such.

Sue, what in the world do you eat? I need to substitute some other things for some of my carbs!

For breakfast I usually have bacon or ham (low sodium, no sugar bacon), eggs, a slice of toast, and a small glass of V-8 juice. For lunch I usually have a big salad with ham or turkey and cheese with blue cheese or ranch dressing, or a hamburger or a piece of chicken or two with some veggies..I eat lots of veggies. For dinner it's usually about the same but some nights I allow myself a small baked potato with butter and sour cream. I snack on almonds, cashews, or peanuts or celery with cream cheese. I might have some berries of some sort (raspberries and blueberries are my favorite). I eat sugar free jello with *real* whipped cream (add a dash of Splenda). And like I said, some nights I allow myself to eat pasta and occasionally I have a small ice cream cone or Jeff and I have popcorn (with real butter of course!). It's become very easy for me to eat this way and I find I don't even miss all the junk I was eating before (well not too much anyway! LOL). Oh and we walk about 45 minutes every night and I do weights 3 times a week. I feel the best I have felt in YEARS and I really don't care if it takes me another 6 months to lose the 35 pounds I have left to lose. :o)

I have so many pet peeves, it is difficult to know where to begin! Here is my "top ten" list:

1. DRUNK DRIVERS. I have ZERO tolerance for the losers.

2. CHEATERS. I can not stand to see people cheat on their spouses.

3. RUDE DRIVERS. I get sooooooo aggravated at people that do not use turn signals.

4. MATERIALISTIC PEOPLE. This is a time waster. It does not matter in the end what your bank account states. The important life lessons are FREE.

5. CHILDREN ALLOWED TO CURSE AND NOT TAUGHT MANNERS. It is so disgusting to hear children old enough to know better sit around and curse. It is also annoying when parents do not teach their children basic manners.

6. LIARS. There is nothing worse then habitual liars.

7. INLAWS. They were put on this earth to make our lives hell.

8. INSURANCE COMPANIES. It is a rip off! It seems as if they rape us daily.

9. PEOPLE THAT STEAL. I hate that we pay more at the mall or stores to make up for the lazy people that steal.

10. LAWYERS. The laywers that make money off someones misfortune makes me SICK, SICK, SICK...

Thanks for allowing me to vent my PET PEEVES!!! AHAHAHA

White women who bleach their hair to a pineapple-colored blonde, and then use a tanning bed to achieve that "attractive" roasted walnut skin. Ladies, there nothing wrong with a fair complexion. Its actually quite beautiful. Appreciate what God gave you.

Good job on your weight loss. I found a sprouted grain bread (Bread of Life brand) that has only 4 grams net carbs per slice. And the best thing about it is that it TASTES GOOD, just like whole wheat bread. I still need to lose another 30 lb so I use it sparingly.
