Pot? There is a gaggle of teens who often sit and smoke pot around the corner from my house. Pot is expensive and a bad idea, so that seems like a definite waste.

Maybe gadgets come next on the list. They do seem besotted with the latest gadgets, but then many adults are the same way.

Other than that, most teens I know don't smoke pot and are pretty sensible.

I would say clothes of a particular brand, purchased because of the label, not the quality.

I agree with you, that is how they learn. I do limit my kids spending money not all of their money can go to spending... expecially with the two older boys since they are now earning money.

Have you seen the commercials to text your name and your boyfriend's name to get your future baby's name? or find out whether you are a good love match? That has to be the dumbest way to spend money, and I hope nobody actually does it.

thanks to the invention of dollar store/the dollar tree, i think alot of money gets wasted there.

my husband, then boyfriend, used to shop second hadn shops/thrift stores. that's when vintage shopping was "in", LOL, his style in clothing and doc martens used to turn me on.
