What do you think about teen sleepovers?

I was reading an interesting article from Huffington Post, the author was discussing how open parents should be with their teen with regards to sex:

If you aren't comfortable with your own sexuality or challenging deeply-embedded ideas about sex being "bad," can you teach your kids anything different? In defiance of socially conservative mythology, approaches that are positive about sex do not lead to licentiousness, STDs, abortions and despair. On the contrary, the more you teach children about healthy, responsible sex, the more likely they are to treat sex in healthy, responsible ways. In general, they are more knowledgeable, more emotionally mature about it and "safer" in the scary-sex way.

She does some comparisons between the U.S. and the Netherlands, even how some parents in the Netherlands will allow their teenage children to have sex in their home.

Would you want to know your child is having sex, or prefer to remain in the dark?  Would you allow your teen's partner to sleepover in your house?

Was that ever a question? Here are the posts from the 3 posters who "claim" they were right over and over:

PKA:   She's not in the same state as Disney?
Geschictsgal: Did your mom move?  You have said several times over the years that she lives in Florida.  And I've heard of a staycation, but didn't think you would count it as a "real" vacation, considering it's generally just a series of day trips, which don't count according to you.

If you are going to pretend that your mom doesn't live in Florida, that's fine. Do you think a "staycation" is a real vacation?  If so, what is the difference between a "staycation" and taking day trips throughout the year?
You:     You said she lives in FIorida in the ugly food allergy thread. I'm not slogging thru it, you can if you want. And Tinder's law degree from Univ of Phoenix makes so much sense now

Actually, living proof of a pregnancy would have to be the child itself.  If we want to get all grammatically and technically correct and shiz.

Living proof could mean "I am living proof that teenage sex does lead to pregnancy as it happened to me". Didn't realize this was so complicated for everyone.

But that's not what I said. You're making stuff up now. And why haven't you answered my question about your mom? Either she has lived in Florida at some point in her life or she hasn't...which is it?

Has she ever bothered with gramatically or technically correct before? Why start now? Laughing

This is what you said. AGAIN, it could go either way:  Yup. I'm living proof that once without a condom = teen pregnancy.

And why haven't you answered my question about your mom? Either she has lived in Florida at some point in her life or she hasn't...which is it?

What does this have to do with the accusations that she lives in FL or anything I said ever about her? Please explain.

"living proof of a pregnancy" would HAVE to be the child itself.  Because otherwise it would just be the mother's say-so -- which as we all know means NOTHING to you.

You are the one making it complicated. The only person that has indicated a misunderstanding of her original statement was you.

Nope, incorrect Savcal.

I'm curious if she's ever lived in Florida. Your refusal to answer tells me that she has. The fact that many of us thought she lived there tells me you referenced it at some point, which means my (and others) thinking she still lived there now isn't the aggregious act you claim...

Nope, again the accusations were wrong (go back to the posts I just requoted for you). An apology would be nice from all three posters.
