Yeah, it is something that I will not forget but will have to "forgive" if you want to call it that. Luckily is hasn't really bothered the kids as they don't even really know her.

There are some times when you need to pick up the phone. Facebook and texting is too cold and impersonal to tell certain people certain things.

I agree so do my children....although my MIL does not deserve a relationship with her grandchildren...she made her bed, she is going to have to live with it....

you know, i think those most cold, black and white about relationships are those who either, take their own relationship with parent/grandparent for granted - or - two, have a cold, rotten relationship with them themselves.

i have a friend whose parents are both alive, she says the most gawd awful things about her mom, about her husband's mother all.

Your children deserve to have you provide a good, clean home for them.

This is what the op said to me. I couldn't believe it either. Just because some others do not have relationships with their own family does not make it right for them to think that no one else wants to have one with their family and to want their children to grow up knowing their grandparents and aunts and uncles, etc.
