On a side note of customer service, I once ordered fivw pounds of El Diablo from them, but when the order arrived, it was a different variety. I called their customer service, and they immediately shipped me out five pounds of the El Diablo--Fedex, even. And told me to keep the other, gratis. (it was an Ethiopian roast of somekind, but I forget the name right now--also very good, but not El Diablo.). Naturally, I am now a very loyal customer.
the other isn't really a splurge. Yet, anyway. But I have a standing self-promise that if I ever run across a Bernina 830 (the vintage 830) I am permitted to dip into emergency savings to buy it. I probably souldn't have to add this part, but a Bernina 830 is a sewing machine. :D

Breakfast stuff from the health food place, good muesli and cereal that is not loaded with sugar.
Going out to eat. Dh and I eat out often. It is our way to relax, chat etc.
Cleaning lady. I love my cleaning lady.
Computers. We buy frugally and used when we can, but our computers tend to be newer models and we have lots of them.
Travel. if kiddo wants an extra plane ticket, so she can go to Copenhagen, she usually gets it.
Suites really are nice when you are sharing a hotel room with others, I agree. It doesn't even have to be particularly fancy, as long as there is that extra, separate space.
Coffee welfare, I am shocked! ;) I was going to list coffee, but although we buy coffee from a really good store, where they roast and blend it themselves, it is actually slightly cheaper than most of the supermarket brands (shich are outrageously expensive here). On top of that, our guy delivers, so it is a win-win-win.
All of my splurges focus on experience rather than things.
My big splurge right now is school. It sucks a lot of family resources due to the cost and the fact that I'm only working part-time. Because I don't have a program of study nailed down just yet, it's difficult to consider it an investment.
I like concerts and I have a shortlist of bands that are not negotiable, meaning, if they are within 100 miles, it's not matter of if we are going, but where we are going to sit.
