Wow! That sounds awesome. We're having cilantro-lime tilapia with guacamole and I don't know what else yet.

U of I had a thing like that. I wanted to go, but we never made it. We don't have one here.

Sounds yummy. Nothing much out of the ordinary than you would get at an Italian Restaurant though. I would think they would have make something different if it is such a difficult thing to get into.

I agree, that menu is at a lot of Italian restaurants that I have been too, quality though tends to differ from restaurant to restaurant.

I guess if you don't have many quality Italian Restaurants in your area, then yes, that is why they have such a desire to go to this.

It was one of the most simple menus we've had at a Chef Series event. But it ranks in my top 3. The quality was superb. Best gnocchi I've ever had. And I'm not a gnocchi fan, so it takes a really good one for me to even like it.

It's not all about the food. it's about the wine. The socialization. the exclusivity. The philanthropy (it's a major fundraiser). It's about seeing the student work and learn. It's about seeing and meeting chefs from around the world.

But the food is most excellent.
