I tried my hand at spinach gnocchi a while back. It was wayyyyy ytoo much spinach and not enough potato and flour. It tasted okay, but not great. I want to try it again soon.

One of the neatest things is to watch dd. At 15, she's usually the youngest one there (she went to her first one at 13). And many of the adults are fascinated by someone so young being "into" that sort of event. The elderly couple that sits next to us love to engage her in conversation, and it's a real joy as a parent to watch her converse like an adult. She's learning so much - and enjoying herself.

I have had Italian food in other places (not Italy as I am sure you can't compare that to anywhere-lol!!) and it is NOWHERE near the type of Italian food we have.

Based on what Savcal has posted, it seems that she would still have a desire to go to this event even if she lived right next to the best Italian restaurant in the whole world.

Really? You've been to restaurants in North End in Boston, Federal Hill in Prov, North Beach in SF, North West Side Chicago, Bella Vista in South Philli, Mulberry Street, Manhattan.

I'm sure there are more, but I've been to sublime Italian restaurants in each of those areas that are beyond compare.
