-- Shrimp scamp rolled in italian bread crumbs, skewered, and charbroiled

-- Chicken spiedini rolled in italian bread crumbs, skewered, charbroiled and served with a spicay tomato sauce

-- Secco NV Vento, Italia

-- Wedge salad served witih diced tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, prosciutto, hardboiled egg, and a creamy parmesan dressing - served with 2010 Riff Pinto Grigio Delle Venezie IGT, Italia

-- Italian potato dumplings served in a vodka cream sauce - served with

i din't disagree. The op on this subthread thre those terms/cuisines around very generically and loosely, which I interpreted as generic foods, not the "specialty" kinds you speak of.

Good point, using generic terms to describe food is pretty general and wouldn't indicate quality to me.
