DD, DH and I are having:

-- Shrimp scamp rolled in italian bread crumbs, skewered, and charbroiled

-- Chicken spiedini rolled in italian bread crumbs, skewered, charbroiled and served with a spicay tomato sauce

-- Secco NV Vento, Italia

-- Wedge salad served witih diced tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, prosciutto, hardboiled egg, and a creamy parmesan dressing - served with 2010 Riff Pinto Grigio Delle Venezie IGT, Italia

-- Italian potato dumplings served in a vodka cream sauce - served with

Oh, that is just normal salami that we always eat and I have since a kid.

Lol, i've only lurked this thread but share your sentiment here. i prefer the hard salami to the spotty genoa stuff..we love salami and my dad used to make the meanest salami sandwiches when we were kids, its a heart attack b/w two slices of bread but it's goood! ;-)

I would rather have Sopressata (which is more spotty too though-lol!) anyday :)

We have had that as well, but as I said Genova is the "current" favorite from Volpi's.
