It's dd's first Chef Event with her very own ticket. She is UBER excited. She's been to a few before, but always using my or dh's ticket - and one of us had to stay home. But we got three tickets this season - it was her bday present. She's told me no less than 208 times this week that it was the best bday present ever! lol

I want a ticket to that!

I had to change up my menu plan this week so not sure what I originally had down for tonight, but I'm making spinach quiche with salad and fruit smoothies.

OSU's School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration hosts a Chef Series every year. Four times a year, they bring in renowned chefs to teach the students and work with them for a few days, and they present a special meal. It's all cooked by the students, under the planning and supervision of the guest chef. It's all served by the students, wine is picked by the students, etc, etc.

It also serves as a fundraiser for scholarships. Tickets are a bit hard to come by, as they're limited (physically) by how many they can serve. We were lucky enough a few years ago to get tickets, and once you're on the list, you're on it until you want off. And then this year, we were lucky enough to get a 3rd ticket added for DD.
